The atelier

Made by hand, never repeated

I've always been drawn to beautiful fabrics, to leather, and to the art of making things well. As a tailor, that passion has followed me — through New York, Miami, Zürich, and everywhere my travels have taken me.

Wherever I go, I look for unique garment and interior fabrics, always searching for the right texture, quality and character. I pay attention to the details. For me, craftsmanship is about taking the time — choosing the right materials, and making something that feels truly special.

One Bi One grew from all of this: my love of craftsmanship, materials and design, and my wish to make things with meaning and quality. Every vest, bag and pillow is cut, sewn and embroidered by hand — often with my grandchildren close by. Nothing is mass-produced; each piece carries the small, deliberate marks of having been made by one person, for one home.

“Each piece is one of a kind.”

— Birgitta

Heirloom materials

Chosen to last a lifetime

Birgitta works with natural sheepskin, sheep-fur and fine linens — materials chosen not for the season, but for the decades. Worked gently and finished with leather and hand-stitching, each piece is made to be kept, worn, and passed on.

Because every hide and every length of thread is different, no two pieces are ever quite alike. When one finds its home, it is gone for good.
