The practical part
Shipping, returns & care
Shipping
Every piece is dispatched from Gothenburg, Sweden, carefully wrapped. Tracked shipping, with the rate shown at checkout:
| Zone | Rate | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Sweden | €9 | 2–5 business days |
| Europe (EU) | €19 | 3–8 business days |
| Rest of the world | €39 | 5–14 business days |
Each piece is dispatched within a few days of your order, wrapped with care. You'll receive tracking by email as soon as it's on its way.
Returns
- As a customer in the EU you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases — that right is always honoured, no reason needed.
- Let us know within 14 days of your parcel arriving, then send the piece back within a further 14 days. It should return unworn and in its original condition, so it can find its next home.
- Return shipping is arranged and paid by the customer, except where a piece arrives faulty or not as described — in which case we cover it and make it right.
- Commissions and made-to-order piecesare made specifically for you and, as personalised goods, fall outside the standard right of withdrawal — but if something isn't right, please write to us; we'll always try to help.
To start a return, email birgitta@onebione.se with your order number and we'll take it from there.
Caring for your piece
Sheepskin & sheep-fur
Air rather than wash; shake gently to revive the curl and loft. Spot-clean small marks with a damp cloth. For a full clean, use a specialist sheepskin / leather cleaner only. Keep away from prolonged damp and direct heat, and store on a wide hanger or flat, out of direct sun.
Hand-embroidered linen
Remove the insert and hand-wash the cover cool, or use a gentle delicates cycle in a laundry bag; a mild detergent, never bleach. Reshape while damp and dry flat, away from direct sun. Press on the reverse with a warm iron to protect the embroidery. With this kind of care, hand-stitched linen only softens and improves with the years.
A few common questions
Are the pieces really one of a kind?
Yes. Each is made by hand from natural materials, so no two are identical. When a piece sells, it stays on the site marked Sold — part of the story.
Can I commission something?
Yes — Birgitta takes a small number of commissions each season. See contact & commissions.
How do I pay?
Checkout accepts major cards and Klarna, in euros, with Swedish VAT included in every price. Payment is handled securely by Stripe — card details never touch this site.
